Tree ferns are ancient plants that are known for their large fronds, which are raised off the ground by their trunks. Fossils of Psaronius, one of the most well known tree ferns, predate dinosaurs by more than 100 million years.
Tree Ferns thrive in humid, shaded environments, and are mainly found growing in tropical and subtropical areas of the world.
