The Species Viewer is a game mode and customization menu in Jurassic World Evolution 2 used to look over a Dinosaur, Flying Reptile or Marine Reptiles' model, animations, and skins. The Species Viewer was added to Jurassic World Evolution 2 in Update 2 for the main menu.

Unlike other game modes, the Species Viewer is a pure black map with a gridded floor where it is shown as a customization menu, the model of any dinosaur or other prehistoric creature, such as Flying and marine reptiles, can be viewed unimpeded. These models are fully rotatable and can play one of six looped animations from the game, four animations for flying and marine reptiles. The skins, patterning, model variants can be changed in this menu, although skins and patterns unlocked through challenge mode will be unavailable until they are unlocked. A fully controllable light and a filter system allow the model to be viewed in a multitude of more ways. The Species Guide also includes audio pronunciation guides for every prehistoric creature in the game.
