Solnhofen Formation is a dig site in Jurassic World Evolution. It was added with the Return to Jurassic Park DLC.

The Solnhofen Formation is found in modern day Bavaria in Germany, and is composed mainly of limestone. Multiple specimens have been uncovered in this area, often unintentionally in quarries.
This Jurassic rock represents a coastal environment featuring multiple salt water lagoons, which have preserved many fragile organisms that may have otherwise been destroyed by scavengers.
