The Park Tour is an attraction in the Return to Jurassic Park expansion pack for Evolution, which allows guests to ride around the park in automated tour vehicles. The Park Tour is vital in 1993-era parks, as they are the only building which provide dinosaur visibility.
The Park Tour is unlocked during the Return to Jurassic Park campaign, and includes several researchable upgrades, such as binoculars, Night Vision cameras and the ability to drive a tour vehicle. The attraction is based on the Ford Explorer ride in Jurassic Park.
Description[]
A relatively small building with a thatched roof, the Park Tour is similar to the Jurassic Tour and Gyrostation in its ability to be placed along a fence. Once constructed, players place a track for the automated tour vehicles to follow, and can choose between a default and concrete track. Players can also choose between a typical gate, or the Jurassic Park Gate, along the tour route.
The Park Tour is the only building in the Jurassic Park era to provide dinosaur visibility, and is thus vital in constructing a successful park. Multiple vehicles spawn from the building, and travel slowly around the park in pairs. Like the Jurassic Tour and Gyrostation attractions, the Park Tour can be routed through multiple enclosures, although tour vehicles can be attacked by dangerous dinosaurs, causing the building to go into emergency shut down, necessitating a ranger team to re-open.
