The La Colonia Formation is a dig site in Jurassic World Evolution. It was added with the Fallen Kingdom Dinosaur Update.

The La Colonia Formation is situated in the north of the Chubut province in Argentina. It gives a view into what is thought to be a lagoon or coastal plains environment from the Late Cretaceous period around 70 million years ago.
Prolific paleontologist José Bonaparte made one of Argentina's most famous dinosaur discoveries here, Carnotaurus. The skeleton was discovered well preserved and properly articulated and enough of it was recovered to make it one of the best theropod specimens in the southern hemisphere at the time. This is still the only example of this genus discovered so far. This formation also contains a wide variety of interesting vertebrate fauna, including lizards, snakes, turtles and plesiosaurs.
