Frontier Developments is a British video game developer based in Cambridge, England and founded by David Braben in January 1994. They are the developers of Jurassic World Evolution.

Jurassic World Evolution Development

Frontier Developments originally announced the acquisition of the license to develop what would later be announced to be Jurassic World Evolution in February 2017 from Universal Pictures. Universal had contacted Frontier wanting to release a game in June 2018 to coincide with the release of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.[1] Codenamed Nero[2], the development of the game began in 2016 under the direction of head director Michael Brookes[3] and using Frontier's in-house Cobra engine[1]. Key members such as executive producer Gary Richards joined the project sometime between March and May of 2017.[4] The development cycle for Jurassic World Evolution lasted approximately 16-24 months.
